At EDGE, we bring in the best. Our guest teachers aren’t just instructors—they’re working industry professionals, shaping the future of theatre, commercial dance, and beyond. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Christian Knight, a powerhouse performer and Dance Captain on the West End production of Hamilton.
From the West End to major film and TV productions, Christian has built a career working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry. His experience in musicals, choreography, and movement direction makes him a perfect fit for EDGE, where he pushes dancers to refine their craft, sharpen their skills, and train at a professional level.
From Training to the West End
Christian’s journey began at Addict Dance Academy and Dupont Dance, where he laid the foundation for a career that would take him to some of the most prestigious stages in the UK.
His theatre credits include:
Dance Captain & Swing in Hamilton (Victoria Palace Theatre, West End)
Assistant Dance Captain & Swing in Wicked (Apollo Victoria Theatre, West End)
Ensemble in The Prince of Egypt (Original West End Cast, Dominion Theatre)
Griffin in Romeo & Juliet (Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures, Original Cast, Curve)
Ensemble in Evita the Musical (De Montfort Hall)
Ensemble in Joseph & the Technicolor Dreamcoat (Curve & De Montfort Hall)
But Christian’s work extends beyond the stage. His television and film appearances include Taking the Next Step (CBBC), The Prince of Egypt Musical (Universal), and A London Dream (Sky TV).
As an associate choreographer, he’s been instrumental in shaping "An Officer and A Gentleman" (UK Tour), proving he’s not only a performer but a creative force behind the scenes.
