Physical & Studio Accessibility
Our Approach
At EDGE Associates, we believe in supporting all dancers while maintaining the high-performance standards required for vocational training and a professional career in dance. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where students with accessibility needs can communicate with us openly about their requirements.
Training & Physical Needs
Our programme is designed for elite-level training, and students are expected to train at a high standard.
We welcome students with certain accessibility needs and will work closely with them and their families to ensure appropriate support.
While our faculty provides guidance and adaptations where possible, it is ultimately the student's responsibility to adjust choreography if needed based on their individual requirements.
Parents and students should communicate any physical limitations, medical conditions, or learning difficulties upon application to ensure the safest and most effective training experience.
Studio Environment & Safety
All training venues have secure and well-maintained facilities.
We work with studio owners to ensure accessible entrances and facilities where available.
Emergency procedures are in place, and all staff are trained in safety and safeguarding protocols.
Students are expected to respect the physical space, keeping it clean, safe, and suitable for professional training.
DBS-Checked Faculty & Safeguarding
All EDGE Associates staff and instructors are fully DBS-checked to ensure a safe and professional environment for all students.
We follow strict safeguarding policies to protect the well-being of all students.
Parents/guardians must ensure that students are dropped off and collected on time, as we cannot be responsible for students outside of class hours.
Future Commitment & Improvements
We are dedicated to continuously improving accessibility across our website, training programme, and facilities by:
✅ Evaluating and updating content structures to enhance readability and ease of use.
✅ Reviewing venue accessibility to ensure all students have access to appropriate facilities.
✅ Providing a clear communication channel for students and parents to discuss individual needs.
