How do I apply to audition for EDGE?

Simply fill out the form on our Apply page. Once submitted, you’ll receive an application form with full details on how to submit your video and headshot.

What should my audition video include?

We ask that your video includes three technical elements in your chosen style:

Pirouette
Kick
Leap of your choice

You can perform these as part of a short combination, or film them as separate clips, whatever best shows your strengths.

How should I submit my video?

Videos can be submitted via YouTube or Vimeo link, or uploaded directly through the application form. Make sure your video is clearly labelled with your full name.

What’s the deadline to apply?

Applications for the 2026–2027 season open 5th February and our Bristol Programme is now full. Auditions for Bournemouth close Saturday 11th April.

How will I know if I've been accepted?

We aim to notify all applicants by the end of March. Offers will be sent via email.

Do I need professional footage?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. A video filmed in a dance studio or home environment is absolutely fine. We’re looking at your potential, not your production value.

Can I audition if I’ve not trained in all styles?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Just choose the style you’re most confident in for your video/ Jazz, Theatre, or Commercial—and include the three required elements.

Question 8

What age group should I apply for?

We’ll place dancers into groups based on age and ability after reviewing all audition videos. Just be honest about your experience, and we’ll make sure you’re placed where you’ll thrive.

Question 9

What happens if I’m accepted?

Accepted Answer

You’ll be asked to confirm your place with a £50 deposit. Then you’ll receive all the details for the season, including payment options and session dates.
