THE CONTRACT

EDGE Associates – Terms & Conditions


These Terms & Conditions apply to all students, parents, and guardians participating in the EDGE Associates Programme. By submitting an application, auditioning, and/or attending any EDGE Associates training sessions, you agree to adhere to the following policies and guidelines.

1.

General Overview


EDGE Associates is an elite training programme designed for dedicated dancers aged 11 and over. Sessions take place once a month in-person at our designated training locations.


By applying, auditioning, and/or attending an EDGE Associates session, you confirm that you:


✅ Are committed to upholding professional standards of conduct, respect, and discipline.
✅ Understand that attendance, punctuality, and full participation are expected.
✅ Acknowledge that EDGE Associates has a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour.
✅ Accept that all training involves a degree of physical exertion and risk, and participation is at your own risk.

 

These Terms & Conditions set out the expectations, policies, and responsibilities for both students and parents/guardians.

 

2.

Application & Audition Process

 

2.1

Application Requirements


All applicants must submit an audition video as part of the application process.
Applicants under 18 must have parental or guardian consent before applying.
The application must include:
Personal details (name, date of birth, contact information).
Any relevant health and injury information (see Section 7).
A headshot and audition video for assessment.

 

2.2

Selection & Acceptance


Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance onto the EDGE Associates Programme.
Successful applicants will receive a formal acceptance email with next steps and payment details.
We reserve the right to decline applications at our discretion.

 

3.

Attendance & Punctuality


3.1

Commitment to Training


The EDGE Associates Programme is a year-long commitment with training once per month (excluding December and August.)
Consistent attendance is required. Failure to attend regularly may result in dismissal from the programme.

 

3.2

Being On Time


Students must arrive on time and be ready to dance at the scheduled start time.
Late arrivals disrupt sessions and may result in the student being unable to participate.
Parents/guardians must ensure students are picked up promptly at the end of each session.

 

4.

Code of Conduct

 

4.1

Professional Behaviour


Students are expected to act with discipline, focus, and a professional attitude at all times.
Respect must be shown to teachers, fellow students, staff, and venue facilities.
Mobile phones must be switched off or on silent during sessions.

 

4.2

Zero Tolerance Policy


EDGE Associates operates a strict zero-tolerance policy for:


🚫 Bullying, discrimination, or harassment of any kind.
🚫 Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour towards teachers or students.
🚫 Inappropriate use of social media related to EDGE Associates or its members.

 

Failure to adhere to these rules may result in immediate removal from the programme.


4.3

Parent/Guardian Expectations


Parents/guardians are expected to support their child's commitment to training.
Any concerns or queries should be addressed professionally and respectfully via official communication channels.


Parents/guardians must not approach teachers or other students with complaints during sessions.

5.

Payments & Refund Policy

 

5.1

Payment Terms


The programme fee is £49 per monthly session, payable for 10 months per year (excluding December & August).


Payments must be made in advance via the payment plan agreed upon acceptance.
Late or missed payments may result in suspension from the programme until payments are up to date.

 

5.2

Refunds & Cancellations


No refunds will be given for missed sessions due to personal reasons, illness, or schedule conflicts.
In the rare case that EDGE Associates must cancel a session, a rescheduled date will be offered.
Refunds will only be considered for exceptional circumstances at the discretion of EDGE Associates.

 

6. Safeguarding & Student Welfare

 

6.1 Safe Training Environment


EDGE Associates is committed to providing a safe and supportive training environment.
All faculty members adhere to strict safeguarding policies.

 

6.2

Parent/Guardian Responsibility


Parents/guardians must inform EDGE Associates of any medical conditions, injuries, or special requirements before training begins.
Emergency contact details must be kept up to date.

 

6.3

Photography & Filming Consent


Sessions may be filmed or photographed for marketing, promotional, or social media purposes.
If you do not consent to your child being filmed, you must inform EDGE Associates in writing before the programme begins.

 

7. Health, Injuries & Personal Responsibility

 

7.1 Being Honest About Injuries


Students must be honest about any injuries or health conditions that may impact participation.
EDGE Associates must be informed of any new or existing injuries before each session.
Students should not attend training if they are unwell or recovering from an injury.

 

7.2

Participation at Own Risk


Dance training carries an inherent risk of injury. By participating, students and parents accept that:


✅ EDGE Associates and its faculty are not liable for injuries sustained during training.
✅ Students are expected to train sensibly and responsibly to prevent injury.
✅ It is the student’s responsibility to follow instructions carefully to minimise risk.

 

8.

Termination of Membership

 

EDGE Associates reserves the right to remove a student from the programme if:


❌ They fail to adhere to the Code of Conduct.
❌ They miss multiple sessions without a valid reason.
❌ Payments are consistently late or unpaid.
❌ They endanger the safety or wellbeing of themselves or others.

 

No refunds will be issued in cases of termination due to behavioural misconduct or policy violations.

 

9.

Agreement & Acceptance


By applying to EDGE Associates, both students and parents/guardians confirm that they have:


✅ Read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
✅ Accepted responsibility for attendance, behaviour, and payments.
✅ Understood that failure to comply may result in removal from the programme.
